Hi guys,

We are very horrible when it comes to social networking or self promoting our band and music. Since the very beginning of Amogh Symphony, we received full love, criticism (healthy ones) and word-spread from you guys and girls. Honestly, that allowed us to focus on our music with accuracy. How and why? Let’s talk.

Relax, this is not music theory

Relax, this is not music theory

We are pretty much known in the entire globe by our fans/friends located in every corner of the world. Truth is percentage – We have a very very strange percentage of fans and friends like you guys who are mostly not stereotypes. We have fans who try to “understand” our music yet they keep trying to connect with the music by treating our music as soundtracks to their lives. We have fans who do not hesitate to criticize our music because they know we listen to them. We have super loyal, lovable and honest fans who are scientists, environmentalists, activists, poets, painters, classical musicians, PhDs and Doctorates. We have strange fans who rip off our music illegally on the first month of release and later same fans buy the music from stores with double price. We have fans who talk shit about us and bitch about how lame our music in forums yet they buy our music and brings attention to our music. We have fans who never let us know who they are but they keep buying our music more than once.

Music is meditation. Music connects souls and minds. When our alter-ego Amogh Symphony writes music, every note and every beat comes directly from the heart(emotional sections in our music) and brain(experimental sections in our music). We only knew that our music should be able to connect us to people who see the world just like the way we see it. That’s right…we are talking about YOU people. As you know, we four(me, Derick, Jim and Andrey) make music 24/7 for others i.e Films, Ads, Jingles, Producing songs of bands and singers. We are not saying that popular music is not true or mainstream music is not good. There are only 3 ways to make music for an artist – Way 1 : Make music for majority fans . Way 2 : Make music for yourself. Way 3 : Make music for fans AND yourself.

We four deal with these three “ways” all the time and considering how vulnerable the music business is and how risky capitalism and economy are, we decided to follow “Way 2” for Amogh Symphony and “Way 1” for other projects.  Amogh Symphony is not music business.

Thank you everyone for bearing our horrible music. Lol. Most importantly, thank you all for believing in us. We hope you guys will like the new album “IV”.

About Aai and “IV”

“Aai” is common Indian word, found in Marathi as well as in Assamese, for Mother. This song’s concept can be seen from different angles but in the same parameter/dynamics/flow. A very simple and short story expressed without words.  From one angle, “Aai” is about motherhood we see in Animal kingdom. From another angle, “Aai” is about the tradition of Mother Goddess worship in various ethnicity/civilization. In a mystic angle of view, “Aai” is about Tantric practice on a person who is believed to be possessed by a Goddess. In Christianity, its a general case of Demonic possession for which Exorcism is practiced.

The song, in another angle of view, tells about how Onamika gives birth to a baby. Emotional attachment of mother with her newly born baby. Raising the baby to a kid. Teaching culture, about life to her son. She prays for her son.  Mystic form of mother when she finds out that her child is hurt by evil. She takes demonic avatar(Goddess Kali). When mother nature changes with her mood and creates confusion. Her aggressive form destroys everything that comes on her way. Finally, she finds her son all well. Couldn’t control her emotion and returns back to her mother love of kindness and gentleness.

“IV” is our forth upcoming album. This time instead of joining many songs to tell one story, we decided to treat each song as one story. Because we are already “been there, done that” with darker themes and sci-fi concept albums, this time we focus towards simpler yet ignored stories. Each song is like soundtrack of a short film. We can’t wait to share this album with you guys. Till then, let us know how do you feel about “Aai” and the plan. Email us your feedback at
